Neck and Back Pain

Neck and back pain are common problems that cause a great deal of unhappiness in day to day life. This type of pain rarely causes serious or permanent damage. Our physiotherapists have great knowledge to facilitate you to recover from these injuries quickly. We manage these conditions by carrying out in-depth assessments and formulation of specific treatment plans. Treatments may include:

  • Manual therapy/manipulation
  • Core stability/ pilates based exercises to strengthen your spinal muscles
  • Self help strategies and techniques
  • Advice on posture

Sports Injuries

We offer prompt assessment and diagnosis of sports injuries and formulate specific rehabilitation programmes in order to ensure successful return to sport in the shortest time possible.

Our investigations include complete posture, gait and biomechanical assessment, specific to each athlete and detailed histories to ascertain the nature, behaviour and onset of injury.

Acupuncture is a form of effective treatment that is used by specially trained physiotherapists in order to compliment their intervention or as a stand alone treatment. Our acupuncturists have undertaken specialist post-graduate training in order to effectively treat patients with acupuncture for pain relief.

At City Physio Clinics we use acupuncture as an adjunct to our treatment for both musculoskeletal and neurological injures. We will carry out a full assessment of your needs and provide you with further information on acupuncture. If you then decide you wish to go ahead with the treatment it is carried out at our clinic locations.

Please visit Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists for further information.

Ultrasound is a treatment modality used to speed up tissue healing. This process works by exciting cells in order to aid recovery post injury. It has been proven to be effective in the treatment of soft tissue injuries including tendon, ligament and muscle injuries.
